Level 3 Qualifications

A/S and 'A' Levels

A/S Levels are available in modular units.  Students start with A/S Level which is exactly half an ‘A’ Level and can be achieved after one year of study.  Students are required to take four A/S Levels in the first year of the 6^th Form, continuing with three of these in their second year, so as to achieve the full ‘A’ Level.  Students will be encouraged to take a mixture of both Arts / Humanities and Science subjects in Year 12, whilst specialising in Year 13.

BTEC National Diploma Courses

BTEC Courses are offered at Level 3 in key vocational areas.  These are courses that will provide students with the opportunity to progress to university or the world of work.

Enrichment Activities

Students will have the valuable opportunity of being involved in enrichment activities including Careers and Higher Education guidance, Community Service, Charity Fund Raising, Experience of Work, Sport and various cultural and social activities.  Students are able to achieve the ASDAN Award through participation in these activities.
