ICT Level 2 @DP
Whether you fancy a career in IT or just want to find out more about IT, then this is ideal for you.
You will learn about how the IT world works, develop skills, knowledge and understanding that will enable you to progress.
What does the course include?
You will study six units.
One mandatory
- ICT Skills for Business
Five Specialist Units including
- Databases - Design and use
- Webpage Creation
- Creating Graphics
There are no exams. Your tutor will assess your portfolio for all units and this will be checked by an OCR visiting moderator.
You will have the opportunity to
- Learn about how the IT world works
- Understand how to use computers to complete work related tasks
Progression Opportunities
- Start work, for example as an IT Technician, Office Assistant, IT Helpdesk Operator.
- Take other Level 2 or higher-level IT qualifications
- Take other qualifications such as other OCR Nationals, GCSEs or A Levels.
