Child Care and Education Level 2 (CACHE) @ JRCS
Duration: 1 year
Outline of the course:
You will complete 7 units and 1 exam. You will learn about all aspects of child care and how a child develops and progresses through the education that they receive. Each week you will spend two days in school and three days at a nursery, crèche or school placement. You will complete two placements across the year. The course is very practical, but also requires lots of written work.

Careers and further study
The Child Care and Education qualification will allow you to enter into one of the following jobs;
- Nursery Assistant
- Crèche Assistant
- Child minder
- Playgroup Assistant
- Special Needs Support Assistant
If you would like to continue studying child care, you could complete a level 3 CACHE Diploma in Child Care & Education or (once you are working) an NVQ level 3 in Early Years Care and Education.
