Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2 @ DP
The Level 2 Beauty Therapy course is aimed at 16+ students who are interested in pursing a career in the beauty industry. You will need 4 GCSE’s grades A – C.
If you are thinking about a career in beauty therapy, you could be carrying out your skills while cruising the world on a luxury liner, working as a make-up artist, or running your own beauty salon business. What other career can offer you fun, a chance to travel the world, constant education.
NVQ’s are qualifications based on the skills and knowledge that you will need at work. All NVQ’s have the same structure which includes:
- Evidence
- Elements
- Units
- Performance criteria
- Range statements
- Knowledge and understanding
All of these need to be gathered in a portfolio to show proof of your learning and progress.
You are required to complete all six mandatory units in additional you will also complete two optional units. These can include:
- Waxing
- Health & Safety
- Eyelash and eyebrow treatments
- Pedicures
- Facials
