Level 1 BTEC Introductory Diploma in Applied Science @ DP

Who is it for?

This course is for any one wishing to study general science at level one which is the same as foundation level GCSE science.

What qualifications do I need to get on the course?

None are necessary, though to have studied some science before would be beneficial.

What is the course like?

The course consists of six different units on varying scientific themes. All of the units are vocationally and practically based. It is all course work and no exams. As a result of this good attendance is vital so that all of the course work can be addressed.

What could I do after the course?

This course can provide a start on the road to employment in the science industry, for example science technician, teacher or researcher. To this end there are further BTEC courses in science at levels 2 and 3 which relate to higher GCSE grades and A level.
