Mathematics at A level continues the study of number, algebra, shape and data as begun at GCSE. It is suitable for anyone who obtained a good B grade at GCSE and is prepared to work hard. New ideas introduced include calculus and solving trigonometric equations. The idea of algebra and more complex mathematical proof also becomes increasingly important.
Please note that
students wishing to apply for this course will need a GCSE grade 'B' or
above from the Higher Maths paper.
