Students will study Hitler and the Nazi party and Mussolini. These topics will cover the rise of two key dictatorships in the early to mid 20^th Century which focus on Hitler’s leadership and control of Germany and, as a comparison, the rise of Fascism in Italy.

In contrast Students will then examine the same period in Britain and see how Britain reacted to the rise of Hitler and Mussolini and World War 2.

 

Skills you will develop include:

·        Reading, scanning and writing at a high level.

·        Thinking and analysis skills.

·        Independent study and research that will focus into a specific question that needs to be answered.

·        Interpreting evidence and reaching substantiated evidence.

·        The skills and techniques that you have practiced in KS3 and KS4 history will be a sound foundation for study at AS and A2 level.
